wtf

Dudes!
I haven't posted in a week and a half. Feels like forever! They are working me to death and I had a houseguest. Slightly crippled from a doctor's office fuck up. I'll be back soon, promise. : )

Wry & Ginger

I have something for you: the perfect gift for the person that has it all.
Awhile back, Tammie posted a link to these laminated cards from Wry & Ginger. I had to have them. They arrived and have been nesting in my glove box ever since. I forgot all about them until the jackass pictured above backed into me to park. Yes, that tiny white rectangle is the card I left on his windshield. He completely tweaked my license plate. Rude. I left him the card pictured below. You can't imagine how much better I felt!

Performing Arts

Before the show.

After the show.

Abravanel Hall, waiting for "PLAY" to begin.

Utah Symphony and Choir. See that tiny choir in the middle, back row? They kicked ass!

This was our week to support the arts. On Tuesday we saw the Utah Symphony and Choir perform Play, a Video Game Symphony. They performed music from tons of video games, including my favorite, The Legend of Zelda. It has the most wonderful music. What was really fun for us was people watching. It wasn't your usual symphony crowd. People came dressed as their favorite gaming character. One large group of 20-somethings came in their flapper/1920's best. All the men had hats, the women were in gowns with long swingy necklaces. It was the greatest people watching I've done in a while.
On Thursday we watched The King and I at Alta High School. Zoë did the lighting, a chip off the old old old block. It was a fantastic performance!

We decided we need to go out more, the symphony was stunning. This was Zoë's last musical since it's her senior year, hard to believe. The Alta kids did a wonderful job.
My advice to you: go see a play, a movie, an orchestra, a band. Anything! It is truly magical to watch so many human beings work together to make something great.
